At CNET, we have extensively tested a wide range of mattresses to identify the ones worth your investment. DreamCloud mattresses have been a focus of our reviews for nearly a decade, with the brand now offering six different models to choose from. The DreamCloud mattress is the most affordable option in their lineup, but as everyone has unique sleep preferences, it may not be suitable for all. In this review, we will discuss key factors to consider before purchasing this mattress, including who it is best suited for.
Please note that the Federal Trade Commission recently sued DreamCloud’s parent company for falsely advertising that their mattresses are made in the US. Watch our CNET senior video producer, Owen Poole, review the DreamCloud mattress.
The DreamCloud mattress arrived at our office with free shipping, conveniently packed in a box. The unboxing process was simple, and after allowing the mattress to expand overnight, it took on its proper shape. Compared to previous DreamCloud models, this version has less of a memory foam feel, offering a quicker response time due to neutral foams in the quilted cover and support coils. It felt firmer than past DreamCloud beds we have tested.
The firmness and feel of the DreamCloud mattress can be described as having a responsive memory foam touch, with support coils and neutral comfort foams balancing out the memory foam sensation. While there is a slight sink-in effect, overall, the DreamCloud Hybrid provides a neutral hybrid mattress feel. Other DreamCloud models may have a more predominant memory foam quality, such as the DreamCloud Memory Foam version.
The construction of the DreamCloud mattress includes a 12-inch thickness and layers of support foam, pocketed coils, a Dynamic Transition layer with Zoned Support, dense memory foam, and a breathable cashmere blend quilted cover. This premium memory foam hybrid bed offers motion isolation, edge-to-edge support, and temperature neutrality. Its durability is expected to last most users for several years.
The DreamCloud mattress is best suited for strict back or stomach sleepers who prefer a firmer sleeping surface. It may not be ideal for combination sleepers or strict side sleepers seeking pressure relief. The bed is supportive for all body types, including heavier individuals, but could be too firm for petite or average-sized individuals. The pricing for the DreamCloud Hybrid mattress is competitive, making it a great value option for those seeking a luxurious hybrid bed.
DreamCloud offers generous policies, including free shipping, a 365-night trial period, and a forever warranty. Be sure to take advantage of these benefits when considering the DreamCloud mattress.
