The technology behind Zen five includes a new parallel dual pipeline front end, enhancing branch prediction accuracy and reducing latency, resulting in improved performance for each clock cycle. Additionally, Zen five boasts a wider CPU engine and instruction window for increased instruction parallelism, compute throughput, and efficiency. Compared to Zen four, Zen five offers double the instruction bandwidth, data bandwidth between the CPU and floating point unit, and AI performance with full AVX-512 throughput. All these advancements culminate in the Ryzen 9,000 series, delivering an average of 16% higher IPC across a wide range of benchmarks and games compared to Zen four.
Now, let me introduce to you the top-of-the-line Ryzen 9 9950X for the very first time. This powerhouse features 16 Zen five cores, 32 threads, up to 5.67 GHz boost clock, an expansive 80 MB cache, and a 170-watt TDP, making it the fastest consumer CPU available. The Ryzen 9 9950X excels in gaming performance across a variety of popular titles. Enthusiasts seeking a future-proof infrastructure for upgrades will be pleased to know that our Socket AM4 platform, launched in 2016, is still going strong with 145 CPUs and APUs across 11 product families. We are even introducing new Ryzen 5,000 CPUs next month. We plan to take the same approach with Socket AM5, supporting it through 2027 and beyond, ensuring a long-lasting ecosystem for AM5 processors. In addition to the Ryzen 9 9950X, we are also unveiling 12, 8, and 6-core versions of the Ryzen 9 000 series, bringing Zen five’s leadership performance to mainstream price points, with all models available for purchase in July.
We are thrilled to announce our third-gen Ryzen AI processors, which offer significant improvements in compute and AI performance, setting a new standard for copilot PCs. Our new Ryzen AI series features STRIX, a next-generation processor for ultra-thin and premium notebooks, combining our new Zen five CPU, faster RDNA 3.5 graphics, and the new XD NNA 2 NPU. STRIX represents the pinnacle of technology integration, offering a large array of 32 AI tiles, doubling multitasking performance compared to the previous generation, and delivering up to two times better energy efficiency for AI workloads. We are collaborating with industry-leading software developers to accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled PC applications, with over 150 ISVs expected to develop for AMD AI platforms by the end of 2024.
To showcase the upcoming copilot Plus PCs powered by our Ryzen AI processors, we have invited our esteemed partners, HP and Lenovo, to unveil their latest innovations. HP’s new omni book integrates the Ryzen AI 300 series, boasting 50 tops of compute power, while Lenovo’s new Yoga laptop powered by third-gen Ryzen AI offers a significant leap forward in AI computing with exclusive Lenovo AI features. These devices represent the cutting edge of personalized computing, empowering users across various industries.
We are also excited to announce our partnership with ASUS, who will be launching a range of IPCs featuring the third-gen AMD Ryzen AI processors in their ZenBook Pro Art, VivoBook, and ROG laptops. These laptops are equipped with the world’s most powerful MPU, offering 50 tops of compute power and superior MB xFi architecture, setting a new standard in performance and AI capabilities. ASUS is proud to be the first OEM partner to make the third-gen Ryzen AI systems available to consumers, with products set to hit the market in July.
