Sean “Diddy” Combs, a key architect of the commercialization of hip-hop, is facing a series of sexual assault allegations. The music mogul, known for his success in the rap industry, has been accused by four women, including his longtime partner Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, of sexual and physical abuse. Producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones also filed a similar lawsuit, alleging abuse over a year-long period while working on Combs’ music.
In response, Combs issued a statement denying the allegations, describing them as “sickening” and made by individuals seeking financial gain. Despite his denial, federal agents raided his properties in March 2024 as part of an investigation into sex trafficking, which his lawyer called an “unprecedented ambush.”
