Apple has launched the iPhone 16E for preorder, with prices starting at $599. The new phone will be available on Friday, Feb. 28 and boasts a sub-$600 starting price, making it $200 cheaper than the iPhone 16. The iPhone 16E includes many of the flagship features of the more expensive model, such as the A18 chip, a 48-megapixel main camera, iOS 18, Apple Intelligence, and access to services like Facetime, iMessage, and Emergency SOS via Satellite. However, in order to achieve this lower price point, some compromises were made. For example, the iPhone 16E does not include features like MagSafe, ultrawide and macro cameras, Dynamic Island, a Qualcomm 5G modem with mmWave support, and various camera modes like Action, Cinematic, and Spatial. Despite these omissions, the iPhone 16E still offers a lot for its price, and a full review will provide more insight into its overall performance and capabilities.
