Kyiv meningkatkan panggilan untuk pertahanan udara saat Trump memperingatkan bantuan ke Ukraina bisa dipotong | Berita

Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is calling for additional air defense systems to protect the country from Russia’s intensified air war. Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine needs ten to twelve additional Patriot systems to safeguard its economy and civilian infrastructure from attacks. He emphasized the importance of these systems in ensuring that Ukraine can return to normal life, with children attending schools and universities, and the economy functioning properly. Russia has escalated its attacks on Ukraine, launching hundreds of glide bombs, strike drones, and missiles against the country’s front lines and civilian infrastructure.

In response to the increased aggression, the United States has prioritized delivering Patriot systems to Ukraine, with partners at the NATO summit agreeing to provide five additional systems. Zelenskyy believes that more military assistance is necessary to regain control of the skies and protect the civilian population. Ukraine has also focused on developing its own defense industry, unveiling advanced drone-missile systems and licensing new weapons designs.

Despite Russia’s ongoing military efforts in Ukraine, its international standing suffered a blow as it was forced to evacuate bases in Syria. This development, combined with Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities, indicates a shifting dynamic in the conflict.
