iPad Mini 7 hampir sempurna – kecuali satu fitur penting yang hilang

I have always had a soft spot for the iPad Mini, especially since Apple unveiled the Mini 6 in 2021. It felt like a versatile tablet that could handle all my needs without being too bulky. I even called it my “desert island device” because I truly relied on it.

Now, with the release of the iPad Mini 7, things have gotten even better. The device is more powerful with the A17 Pro chip and Apple’s new Intelligence system. However, despite its amazing features like 5G support, a stunning 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, and a wide range of apps, it falls short because it can’t make phone calls. In 2024, this feels like a missed opportunity.

The A17 Pro chip in the iPad Mini 7 is impressive, offering a significant performance boost compared to the Mini 6. Apps run smoother, games are more immersive, and the device can handle demanding tasks like AR experiences and professional apps with ease. However, using the A17 Pro chip instead of the newer A18 chip raises questions about Apple’s decision-making process.

Despite not having the latest chip, the iPad Mini 7 is still a powerhouse with features like the A17 Pro Chip, 5G Connectivity, Apple Intelligence, a brilliant display, high-quality cameras, support for the Apple Pencil Pro, and long battery life. However, the lack of native phone call functionality is a glaring omission that could have made the device even more appealing.

In addition to the missing phone call feature, there are other software limitations like FaceTime and iMessage relying on Apple ID, the absence of official apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, and X, and the inability to enroll an Apple Watch from the iPad Mini. Hardware-wise, the device performs well, but lacks features like MagSafe Charging, dual-camera systems, NFC for Apple Pay, and satellite text support.

The iPad Mini 7 is a versatile device suited for students, professionals, and older users. It offers portability, Apple Pencil Pro support, and all-day battery life, making it ideal for note-taking, content creation, and entertainment on the go. Older users will appreciate its lightweight design and larger screen for easier browsing and media consumption. Despite its shortcomings, the iPad Mini 7 remains a powerful and versatile device for a wide range of users.
