It has been a while since Team Gizmodo had the opportunity to explore the convention halls of Messe Berlin in Germany for IFA. This year, the show featured major announcements from tech giants like Intel, Lenovo, and Samsung, and we were among the first to witness them. Similar to CES 2024, the highlight of attending IFA 2024 was discovering the coolest and most unique tech on display. From an Acer gaming laptop with a built-in controller pad to a dancing laptop from Lenovo, there was no shortage of innovative gadgets to see. We compiled a list of our favorite gear and technology showcased at the event, so make sure to check back for updates as we add more from IFA 2024.
One standout product was Acer’s Orion 7000 Desktop, which includes a hot-swappable SSD slot for easy storage upgrades. Lenovo’s Auto Twist AI PC caught our attention with its unique automatic rotation feature and AI capabilities. TCL’s NXTPaper Phone offered a refreshing take on E-Readers, while Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon X Plus for affordable Copilot+ PCs.
Acer’s Nitro Blaze 7 gaming device, Amazon’s quirky promotional stunt involving a guy in a fridge, and the Wireless Power Consortium’s innovative “Ki” standard for at-home appliances also made waves at the event. Additionally, the BeBird ear cleaner with a built-in camera, BodyFriend’s high-end massage chair with robot feet, and MSI’s Claw 8 AI handheld PC all piqued our interest.
Overall, IFA 2024 showcased a diverse range of cutting-edge tech and we can’t wait to see how these innovations shape the future of the industry.
