Cara mengidentifikasi gambar yang dihasilkan oleh AI

The bad news is that detecting AI-generated images has become increasingly difficult as AI models improve rapidly. Tools like Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, DALL-E, and Gemini are creating images that are indistinguishable from real ones, leading to issues with spreading misinformation. However, there are AI image detectors available that use computer vision to analyze pixel patterns and determine the likelihood of an image being AI-generated. While these detectors are not foolproof, they can help the average person identify suspicious images that may require further scrutiny.

AI detectors like AI or Not, Hive Moderation, SDXL Detector, and Illuminarty have high success rates in identifying AI-generated images. For example, AI or Not provides a simple “yes” or “no” response and achieved an 80 percent success rate in identifying AI-generated images in a test. Hive Moderation and SDXL Detector also had high success rates, while Illuminarty classified only 50 percent of images as having a low probability of being AI-generated.

In addition to AI detectors, other methods such as reverse image search and examining telltale signs like warped hands, flawless skin, and garbled text can help identify AI-generated images. It is important for individuals to practice AI literacy and critically evaluate the content they consume, particularly on social media where misinformation is rampant. By verifying the source and context of images and being aware of the techniques used to create AI-generated images, individuals can better discern between real and fake content.
