Château Pontet-Canet ($150)A fantastic wine with great balance, structure and depth. It’s rich and velvety, with complex flavors of cassis, tobacco and cedar. Château Troplong MondotA stunning wine with intense aromas of dark fruit, flowers and spices. It’s rich and powerful, with a long, lingering finish. Overall, the 2023 Bordeaux vintage may not be consistent across all châteaux, but there are definitely some standout wines worth buying. It’s important to do your research, taste samples if possible, and buy from reputable merchants to ensure you’re getting the best value for your money.
