Mundurnya Ukraina Dari Avdiivka Di Bawah Serangan Mengerikan Rusia

Last month, the Zenith air-defense base a mile south of Avdiivka was the site of intense fighting as Ukrainian soldiers faced a relentless assault from Russian troops. Senior Soldier Viktor Biliak, who had spent over 600 days defending the base, described the destruction of fortifications and the overwhelming enemy attacks that left them outnumbered and vulnerable.

As Russian artillery and glide bombs wreaked havoc on the city, Ukrainian soldiers struggled to hold their positions. Despite warnings that they could be overrun, commanders delayed the withdrawal, resulting in unnecessary casualties. The fall of Avdiivka in mid-February was swift and devastating, with soldiers facing heavy losses during the dangerous retreat under constant Russian artillery fire.

Soldiers highlighted the lack of ammunition as a key factor in their defeat, stressing that with proper artillery support they could have held the city. Ukrainian casualties were high, with hundreds lost in the battle for Avdiivka. Russian forces, facing Ukrainian artillery fire and drone strikes, continued to advance and eventually encircled the city.

The final evacuation from the Zenith air base was chaotic and dangerous, with soldiers coming under fire as they attempted to flee. Despite heroic efforts to hold off Russian troops, Ukrainian forces were forced to retreat, leaving behind wounded soldiers who were later captured and killed.

The fall of Avdiivka marked a significant victory for Russian forces, who had been targeting the city for years. Ukrainian soldiers reflected on the challenges they faced, including shortages of ammunition and support, as they regrouped and prepared to continue the fight against a determined enemy.
