College football is back, and while it may sound cliché to say, it’s hard to believe it’s real. After 11 years, EA Sports has released College Football 25, featuring all 128 NCAA Division-1 FBS teams and current players. Our two biggest CFB fans took a crack at the game to see if it was worth the wait. The gameplay is smooth and crisp, especially in the running game, which is ultra-fun. The passing game has been revamped with a new accuracy meter, adding to the challenge. However, the game has its flaws, with dropped passes and penalties affecting gameplay. Defense on higher difficulties can feel impossible, making for a frustrating experience. Despite these issues, College Football 25 captures the vibe of college football perfectly. The presentation is top-notch, with realistic stadiums and vibrant crowds. The commentary adds to the experience, although some licensed music rituals are missing. The Dynasty mode allows players to take on the role of a coach or coordinator, with a focus on recruiting and gameday tactics. Overall, College Football 25 delivers an authentic college football experience, despite some minor drawbacks.
