This week, cybersecurity researchers from Oligo have identified 23 vulnerabilities related to Apple AirPlay, prompting Apple to release fixes for over a dozen issues. Dubbed “AirBorne” by the researchers, these security flaws impact the Apple AirPlay network and have the potential to compromise a variety of devices. According to a blog post by Oligo, the vulnerabilities enable multiple attack vectors that could allow attackers to take control of devices supporting AirPlay, such as Apple devices and third-party devices utilizing the AirPlay Software Development Kit. The blog post from Oligo details potential attacks, including Zero-Click RCE, Man-in-the-Middle, and Denial of Service (DOS) attacks.
