Setidaknya 6 Bayi Palestina Meninggal Kedinginan Saat Keluarga Gaza Mencari Tempat Berteduh

Recent reports indicate that at least six Palestinian newborn babies have tragically passed away due to severe cold in Gaza. Families in the region are struggling to survive the harsh winter conditions without proper shelter, heating, or sufficient humanitarian aid.

The Friends of the Patient Charity Hospital has seen a rise in cases of premature infants facing serious health issues related to the cold weather. Hospital director Saeed Salah revealed that nine cases were reported in the past two weeks, with infants experiencing various complications such as low body temperature, breathing difficulties, and organ dysfunction.

Despite efforts to treat these infants promptly, some were unable to be saved due to their critical condition upon arrival at the hospital. Out of the nine babies, five sadly did not survive, while the remaining infants received medical care.

The dire situation in Gaza has led to heartbreaking scenes, including the death of a two-month-old baby named Shem Al-Shambari in her family’s makeshift tent. Displaced Palestinians are struggling to find adequate shelter and warmth in the midst of a cold and rainy winter.

The lack of proper infrastructure and resources in Gaza has exacerbated the challenges faced by residents, particularly vulnerable groups like infants and children. The United Nations has highlighted the urgent need for winterization support for over 945,000 Palestinians in the region.

With the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, there is hope for increased humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, aid groups emphasize that current efforts are insufficient to address the pressing needs of the population, especially during the harsh winter months.

As the death toll from extreme cold continues to rise, there is a growing call for immediate action to prevent further tragedies in Gaza. The international community must recognize the gravity of the situation and work together to provide essential resources and support to those in need.

Ini merupakan angka yang mengejutkan yang tidak bisa diabaikan.”
