The terrain was challenging, with loose scree and boulders making for tricky footwork. But the sense of accomplishment at reaching the summit was palpable. Moose, in particular, seemed to find his element in the steep ascents and descents, his grin widening with each stride. And as we regrouped at the bottom, sweaty and breathless, the sense of camaraderie was tangible.

Back on board Moondance that evening, the mood was buoyant. A hot meal cooked by van den Engel was devoured in the saloon, with stories and laughter filling the air. The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a pink glow over the mountains, and we settled in for another night on the water.

As we pulled into the marina at Bodø on the final day, the sun was just beginning to rise, casting a golden light over the water. We disembarked, tired but exhilarated, knowing that we had experienced something truly special.

And as we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways, I knew that the memories of our time on Moondance, running through the wild beauty of Lofoten, would stay with me forever. It had been a journey in every sense of the word, and one that I would cherish for years to come.\”
