JAKARTA – Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) reported the weather forecast in the Jakarta area on Monday (2/19/2024). Most areas are predicted to be cloudy, except for the Thousand Islands which are showered with light rain.
Based on weather data released by BMKG on its official website, the Thousand Islands experienced light rain in the morning. Towards noon, the weather changed to thick clouds and the night will be clear with clouds. Throughout the day, the temperature ranges between 26-28 degrees Celsius.
The weather in Central Jakarta and South Jakarta is also the same. In the morning, noon, and night, it will be cloudy. For Central Jakarta, the temperature is estimated at 25-28 degrees Celsius. While for South Jakarta, the temperature ranges between 24-30 degrees Celsius.
East Jakarta and North Jakarta are not much different. In the morning, East Jakarta and North Jakarta will be cloudy. While in the evening, the weather is predicted to be clear with clouds. For North Jakarta, the temperature is estimated at 25-28 degrees Celsius. While for East Jakarta, the temperature ranges between 24-30 degrees Celsius.
West Jakarta is predicted to be heavily cloudy in the morning and then turn cloudy in the afternoon and evening. With this weather, the temperature is expected to be around 24-30 degrees Celsius.
Although the weather in Jakarta is mostly cloudy, BMKG issued an early warning for some areas around Jakarta. The potential for moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds is expected between the time range from noon to night in several areas around Jakarta such as Depok, Bogor, and Cibinong.
The Cibinong and Bogor areas are predicted to be cloudy in the morning, then thunderstorms in the afternoon, and turn into light rain in the evening. Meanwhile, in Depok, it is expected to be cloudy in the morning, light rain in the afternoon, and back to cloudy in the evening.
