The lives lost in Gaza during the recent conflict were diverse and full of potential. From young children dreaming of becoming stars to adults striving for a better future, each person had a unique story that was tragically cut short.
Among the victims were Farah Alkhatib, a 12-year-old girl who loved colorful accessories and her twin sister Marah. Lubna Elian, a 14-year-old aspiring musician, and Yousef Abu Moussa, a 6-year-old who wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps as a doctor, were also among those killed.
Nada Abdulhadi, a 10-year-old top student who loved nature scenes and rollerblading, played teacher to her siblings and cousins during the war. Tragically, she was killed in a strike that destroyed her family’s home, along with her 8-year-old sister Leen.
The loss of life extended beyond children to adults with promising futures. Abdulrahman Abuamara, a 39-year-old entrepreneur who had successfully opened an Italian restaurant in Gaza, was killed alongside his family in a strike on their building.
Ghadeer Mohammed Mansour, a 24-year-old software engineer, and Doaa Jadallah, a 29-year-old medical laboratory analyst, were also among those who lost their lives before being able to fully realize their potential.
